Are you ready for a uniform refresh? Read about our experts’ favourite uniform essentials.
2022 is well underway: the dust has settled after the manic energy of the holiday season and we’re back into the rhythm of the working routine. After time to reflect on the year that’s been, and with fresh perspective on the year ahead, now is the time to think about a new look to energise your brand.
Perhaps for your business a change-up in your look means keeping up with the times. It’s exciting to update to reflect a new perspective or direction, and can reinvigorate your staff.
This is particularly true as the world shifts toward a far more online or hybrid working environment. Maybe your team need something more flexible now that they’re only in the office part time? Or maybe you want a cohesive range that helps to unite a team that spends much more time apart?
Whichever exciting direction your business is heading in, we’re here to set you off on the right path for 2022. Check out our highlights reel of our very favourite uniforms essentials, straight from our resident uniform experts.
Polos
A polo is one of the most versatile options for your work wardrobe. We’re always excited to sing the praises of the mighty polo (check out our Top Polo blog!) because no matter what your work day looks like, there is a polo that will meet your needs.
Superdry
The Superdry Polo gets nothing but love from our Uniform Experts and our clients. Sweat-wicking, cool and comfortable, it keeps you looking and feeling good all day. It runs reliably true to size and feels light but sturdy.
Oceanic
The Oceanic has comfort covered. Styled after premium brands, the detailing on the collar and the cuff create a smart, high-value finish, whilst the cotton and spandex fabric create the perfect amount of stretch and breathability. There’s a huge range of colours to work with, so we recommend putting 2 colours into your corporate range, to create some variety and offer your team some choice.
Sonar
The Sonar is something of a chameleon. An excellent mix of both corporate style and athletic performance, it peforms well both in the office and on the move. The specialised polyester fabric outer is ideal for holding shape and colour long term, whilst the cotton lining is cool and soft against the skin. There’s an expanding colour range on this product to keep up with it’s popularity, and we recommend putting a 2nd logo on the top back that will highlighted by contrast panel and ensure your brand is visible from all angles.
Shirts
Polished and professional, a well-made shirt can enhance even the best first impression. Don’t waste time on lesser products that are stiff, scratchy and uncomfortable – take a look at our experts favourite collared couture.
Westgarth
A micro check shirt to suit everyone in your team, the Westgarth also looks great with your branding on it – a difficult feat for some check prints.
Whether your team members prefer a looser fit with a chest pocket, a slimmer fit with no chest pocket or the hospitality fit with roll up sleeve tabs, the Westgarth caters for the whole team.
Available in all sleeve lengths to suit your climate or team preferences. Contact our Uniform Experts to see the full range!
Candidate
You might look at the fabric composition on the Candidate shirt and think ‘hmmm’. However, we recommend that you take a second look.
The 8% Polyester Cool Dry , 2% Spandex combo is a deceivingly comfortable mix that has been increasingly popular across a range of industries. It is a premium fabric that is designed to keep you cool by drawing the heat from your body, whilst the spandex is there for added comfort of movement. The very best part, though is there is absolutely no ironing required! Simply hang up after washing and save yourself a tonne of time at the ironing board.
One of TIG’s valued clients wears the Candidate in a coffee shop setting, and the most common comment from their staff is “if I get my white shirt dirty, I simply spot wash at the sink with a touch of detergent and it is clean again”.
Lower Garments
The perfect pant can be a hard ask. Our recommendations below balance style, comfort and versatility for all-day polish.
R Jean
We like to think of the R Jean as “corporate casual”. A modern style, they’re a great option if you’re looking to find a compromise between a contemporary relaxed look and the more traditional corporate uniform, and will keep your team looking polished yet approachable.
Plus they’re made from 64% cotton, 2% Spandex & 34% recycled polyester, so you’re making a comfortable and environmentally conscious choice.
Napier
The Napier isn’t the cheapest chino on the market, but once you experience the quality, you’ll understand the price tag. The fit has been lovingly laboured over to get it just right, so it’s flattering and comfortable for every size. The turn up contrast cuff is a great little feature that folds up for an extra pop of colour, and a thoughtful design detail that you don’t often find. Plus, keep your eyes peeled for a new version of these chinos for ladies, with a cut that will be even more comfortable than the previous!
Outerwear
Whether the job takes your staff outisde, they’re on their commute, or the office A/C is always just a little too icy, having attractive and comfortable branded outerwear is a huge win for your company and your team. Check out our top outerwear picks below:
Horizon
Semi-fitted, waterproof and still breathable, the horizon is a reliable outerwear pick for corporate or casual wear. The softshell is made with a stretch fabric so you’ll still have full range of movement, plus the hood is detachable so you can keep up with unpredictable weather.
Layer Jacket
There’s a vast array of soft shell jackets and vests in the marketplace, so it can be overwhelming trying to narrow down which one is right for you. We can always recommend the Layer Jacket. A practical, easy care product that will stand years of wear and continue to look good, plus the simple design means you can brand both sides of the chest. These jackets are 3 layer, water proof, windproof and really warm, making them great value for money, plus they have a Vest version that provides extra ease of movement!
